Minicel T200
MT200Minicel Type T200 Foam: This foam is an exceptionally fine-celled material which makes it ideal for projects and applications requiring thicker, more durable material. Minicel Type T's technical name is chemically crosslinked ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). This is a more resilient solution than crosslinked polyethylene foam and can be used in a range of applications. With its closed-cell density and overall durability, Minicel Type T foam is ideal for purposes such as thermal insulation, industrial gaskets, padding in sports and work equipment, shin guards, helmets, insulating hot tubs, yoga mats or exercise mats. With an even surface and consistent feel, combined with superior physical and chemical properties, Minicel Type T is the answer for a range of jobs where durability is imperative.
In addition to being a durable foam made with specific standards, Minicel T200 is UL Component Recognized for use in flotation devices. Currently, there are five different types of PFDs, each with different specifications relating to the usage. Minicel T200 is recognized as conforming to these needs for a solution that is reliable and properly rated for the job. This solution can be used in any PFD manufactured in the USA. It has low moisture permeability and high buoyancy which makes it applicable for marine uses, including boat deck mats, flotation equipment, and custom seating and padding in kayaks.
