I bought 30lbs of this shredded foam as well as 30 lbs of the shredded memory foam to fill a giant beanbag. The shredding is so fine that it makes our beanbag super squishy and not at all lumpy or hard which is exactly what I wanted!! Our beanbag is ACTUALLY like sinking into a cloud!

I had no idea how much filling 36lbs was. It’s huge. The company compresses it and then plastic wraps it inside two plastic bags. When you open it, it uncompresses and this bag is gigantic. I bought it to stuff an ottoman and I think it’s enough to stuff a totally empty and enormous bean bag chair. I can’t keep it compressed while stuffing to get the ottoman firm enough. So I recommend this as a filling for bean bags but not for anything that needs to be firm. Im only able to reach a bean bag firmness level. So if an adult sits on the ottoman it squishes down. But fine for small kids and pets. Overall it’s good foam. It’s very small pieces so it’s definitely going to be a mess wherever you do it and you should wear a dust mask.

For those who actually like information in their reviews it takes 3 of the 30# bags to fill a 6' love sac super sac to capacity if your stupid cat pees on it and you have to replace all of the foam, after which it feels and smells like the original sac.

This product is so much better than the Styrofoam beads for filling a beanbag chair. It doesn't compress like the Styrofoam, therefore there is no need to keep adding more every couple weeks, it holds its shape. It is messy because it's so statically, but it's really worth the mess & vacuums up easily!

This foam is ideal for filler material. My only complaint would be that the packaging has an enormous opening that can make it difficult to keep the foam contained while pouring or scooping it out.

I bought this shredded foam to fill a bean bag. I was surprised at how small the pieces of foam were. I was expecting 1-2 inch pieces but these were tiny, .25 inch were the big ones. Made a huge mess and I feel like a lot of waste with the miniscule powder pieces flying through the air. I can't complain too much though because it did the job and seems to be great for my project. I just wish the description said how small the pieces are.

We made some large decorative pillows with some tie dyed panels. Our customers have been extremely impressed, as were we, how good the cushioning feels.
Like everyone else, the stuff is messy and gets everywhere. But it's SO worth the end result.
We got 2 boxes and have made 13 large pillows, and still have enough to fill about 6 more. And we're stuffing them fairly thick. We will definitely be ordering again!

It was quite the experience unpacking this stuff amd getting it into my homemade
5'x5' cushion. Be warned, this stuff sticks to everything and the more you resist its loving embrace, the more it clings to you. I also didnt realize that the shredded foam was shrink wrapped 9 ways to sunday. Getting the plastic off and the contents into my cushion before it exploded all over my living room floor felt like some kind of game show timed trial. Especially getting the last layer of plastic off, which somehow ended up at the bottom of my cushion. Regardless, I am extremely pleased. The cushion is squishy yet firm and puts anyone who lays upon it into a Thanksgiving night after-dinner sleep trance. It's perfect. I def will buy another for my giant bean bag chair.

These are by far the cheapest foam pieces on the market however, they aren't cut up cubes or anything, it's the paper shreds of the foam world, tiny little pieces, many no bigger than a dime. I suggest buying a cheap ($3) painters plastic tarp to put down before you open it. It expands to a huge amount of foam. We used this for fake sandbags for a museum display and it was perfect.

I replaced foam in my 5ft bean bag which was just huge lumps of foam. The texture and feel of this foam in the bean bag is so nice. It was extreme shreds and the bag is so soft now. I have ordered from Foam by Mail 4 times now. I have replaced worn out seat cushions on a sofa and loveseat using the custom cut feature and the shredded foam to replace the back cushions. The prices are very reasonable, the service and shipping has been super fast and the product is high quality. I have been very pleased with the results of fixing up older furniture. I still have some throw pillows to either re-do or make new and will order from again. And it's always fun to watch the foam expand when opened!!

Happy with my order, I greatly underestimated how much the foam would expand and made a huge mess. I'm using the foam to make giant floor/play pillows for my children and they absolutely love it. It's soft enough for them to fall on. Our dogs really like the foam too. The foam came early, a lot earlier than I expected. It arrived in 3 days. It was boxed properly, had no weird smells. I will definitely order from this company again when I need foam.

I had big plans to make giant bean bag chairs/cuddle cubes as gifts for my teens, and I wanted them to be perfect! I searched for a long time and finally decided on a 30 pound pack for each cube. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted!
The foam is so soft and squishy, it's like laying in a cloud! It does compress a bit after awhile, but it quickly fluffs right back up with a good shake! My teens love their new giant puffs, which is really the most important part for me. And I honestly loved the first two so much, I ordered three more packs and will be getting even more soon!
The biggest downside was definitely the mess but it vacuums up easily enough. Because I specifically made my cubes to use one whole package, what ended up working the best for me was leaving a large gap in the seam of the liner and putting the entire plastic package of foam inside. Then I carefully sliced through the outside of the plastic and pulled the pieces out of the seam, leaving the foam inside. I sewed up the liner, then broke whatever lumps were still stuck together. It kept 99% of the foam inside and went really quickly!
I highly recommend this fluffy stuff, it is absolutely outstanding and so worth it!

I bought this to fill 6 bean bag chairs I use in my classroom. There was no way I was paying for beans for all 6 of them. It worked perfect, but it was messy. I made the mistake of filling them in my living room. Foam was everywhere. It took me forever to vacuum it all up because it kind of stuck to the carpet. I won’t make that mistake again . Definitely worth the price.

I made a large floor longer for my teenage nephew (used all 30lbs). He absolutely loves it. I have ordered foam elsewhere prior and I prefer this as its shredded finer making for a less lumpy lounger. Will order again!

I bought an 8lb sack of this over a year ago and I'm STILL making bed pillows out of it. I like it a lot better than memory foam (shredded or not) which feels like a block of wood, or puffy polyester fiberfill which feels hot and smushes down. Standard foam that's been shredded like this is the ONLY thing that's ever worked for me in a bed pillow. I sleep on my side and I need support, but also don't want to feel like I'm sleeping on a wooden block. I've sewn my own case to hold this foam and even bought zippered cotton pillowcases from Walmart which worked great because I could adjust the amount of shredded foam for my head. I also found that tossing my pillow into a dryer on low for 10 minutes helps pump it back up. Thank you, Foam by Mail, for offering a good product at a great price. Oh, and BTW, you're probably thinking, well, I may be able to save a few dollars by buying the same thing on eBay. Good luck with that! Most of those vendors slip in hard pieces of foam or pieces of foam that are yellowed and old into your mix and after you pick all that out, you're not saving any money at all. Stick with Foam By Mail. They'll do right by you! :)

I ordered this after being tired of continuously buying bean bag beans. So far they are working great. My only complaint is the packaging. The box it came in was almost bursting at the seams. It’s wrapped in a bag, which was placed in a huge garbage bag, which was wrapped in plastic wrap and then stuffed into the box. WARNING: the stuffing will get EVERYWHERE. Fill your bean bag/project outside. My only complaint is the packaging. If there were an option to have it put into bean bag filling friendly packaging I would have gladly paid extra for that. If the packaging were better I would have given five stars.

Purchased this to stuff some amigurumi that I was making. There is a lot for the price. Slightly disappointed that the pieces were smaller than I thought so stuffing this is REALLY messy and difficult to get off the outside of the work. I’d look for larger pieces next time but it may be years before I run out of this.

I love this stuff! First off, let me say that this is a ton of foam! It was perfect for filling my giant Snorlax as someone else commented. Even had some leftover to fill a limp floor cushion that now looks excellent. Shipping was very fast - could not recommend enough if you need some foam!

Purchased this shredded foam to restuff a dog bed (XL slumberball). The foam worked great for restuffing and it took ~1/2-2/3 box to fill the bed. Dog looks very comfortable.
